Whether you are a brand new writer or have been writing for years, we invite you to attend The O’s Own Writers monthly meeting held the second Wednesday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Osoyoos Arts Centre above the Osoyoos Art Gallery at 89th Ave and Main Street.
Since 2002, this group has been meeting and providing a welcoming venue where members can share their current work or get some practice writing about suggested topics that help the whole group improve their craft. A critique protocol has been established that allows the Writers to discuss work put forward in a positive, non-judgmental and helpful manner.
O’s Own Writers have taken on long-term projects resulting in two anthologies: Sharing the Well and Whispering Down the Well. Both books are still available for purchase.
There is no cost associated with joining the O’s Own Writers although we strongly recommend all members purchase a yearly $10 Osoyoos & District Arts Council Membership to acknowledge the use of the Arts Building for a meeting place.
Pop in and say hello!
Newcomers are welcome. No registration is required.
