My creative expression stems from a deep desire to capture, preserve and share the beauty I see. I have been painting for about eight years now and am mainly self-taught.
I work in watercolour, acrylic, Encaustic, acrylic on feathers and pottery. I like to put in the details to capture the true essence of each piece. My newest addition is abstract art.
In 2004, I was commissioned to produce images for wine labels of a small local winery, and I have sold in the Gallery and other local venues. In 2008 I won second prize for my peacock on a feather painting and in 2006, third for watercolour poppies. Art is my hobby and a great tool for self-expression and flows beautifully with my holistic healing work.
I hope to produce art that invokes a good, happy feeling in those who take the time to view it. My future goal is to improve and to try different styles and techniques. I enjoy teaching pottery classes as well.
I truly hope my creations bring you joy! Some of my pieces are on display at Dr. Chris Scheuren’s Chiropractic Office, Jo Jo’s Cafe, and Artists on Main Studio.
