Welcome to my webpge
I was born in Toronto, Ontario and raised in Alderwood, a suburb of Toronto. I moved to Vancouver B.C. in 1979 and retired to Osoyoos B.C. in 2008. I have always been interested in the arts and in my younger years won several awards for my drawings. After completing my formal education in Business Administration I attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto where I was introduced to the art of working in clay. Shortly after moving to Osoyoos I joined the Osoyoos Painters and Potters that has since become two clubs: Osoyoos Potters and Artists on Main (painters). I also became a member of the Osoyoos & District Arts Council and was the Manager of the Osoyoos Art Gallery for two years. I am enjoy being a part of the Osoyoos Art Community and my association with all of the artists and artisans in the south Okanagan.
Although I have worked on the pottery wheel I prefer the handbuilding method that allows for many different shapes and textures. I do pottery as a hobby and have shown my work in general art shows and pottery specific shows at the Osoyoos Art Gallery.
I work both at the Osoyoos Pottery Studio that is located in the Osoyoos Arts Centre at 89th and Main Streets and in my home on Anarchist Mountain
